Contract Manager

As a Contract Manager, you are responsible for all things contract-related. This involves the administration, reporting, delivery and general management of the relevant Commonwealth contract. The objective is to manage the contracts that the Commonwealth department / agency has entered into to ensure that the vendor delivers under the contract and the Commonwealth therefore receives value for money.

Contract Manager Job Description

Manage contracts, programmes, and projects in accordance with the applicable government policies, including but not limited to Commonwealth Procurement Rules, PGPA Act, Finance Connected Policies etc.
Provide contract management support and advice to various stakeholders
Create contract management plans and strategies.
Monitor, review and evaluate contract performance and compliance to balance or mitigate risks.
Revise and/or consolidate contracts as needed.
Draft and Managed Contract variations and Contract extensions.
Prepare consolidated versions of a contract (after enacting contract variations and extensions)
Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Effectively negotiate the terms of the contract to achieve a win-win solution.

Job Requirements

Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience in providing contract management advice, support and services
Knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, PGPA Act, Probity rules, and applicable rules and laws is a strong plus.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills
Effective planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Proactive and innovative

Salary Range

$80,000 to $225,000+

Security Clearance

Ideally you would hold, or be able to get, a Commonwealth security clearance at the TSPV, NV2, NV1 or baseline level.
